One problem with many protein bars is they just don’t have enough protein. Universal Hi Protein Bars cannot be accused of this: 33g-34g of protein per 85g bar isn’t just enough protein for a stopgap post-workout until you get home to eat more, but it’s enough for a meal and will see anyone last several hours without suffering from a lack of protein.
The protein in each bar is the proprietary Hi Protein Matrix blend consisting of Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Hydrolyzed Protein, Glutamine Peptides and Isolated Soy Protein), so you know you are getting good quality whey protein.
Each bar has only 1g of sugar, with the bulk of the carbohydrates coming from glycerine and maltitol sugar alcohols making a much lower GI carbohydrate make up for more stable blood sugar levels.
Nutritional profiles vary slightly with each flavor:
Chocolate Brownie: 296 calories, 33g protein, 33g carbs (1g from sugar and 26g from sugar alcohol) and 6g fat (3g from saturated fat).
Chocolate Peanut Butter: 302 calories, 34g protein, 31g carbs (1g from sugar and 24g from sugar alcohol) and 6.5g fat (3g from saturated fat).
Each bar also contains 20 supportive vitamins and minerals.
